After dropping off Bob's tux, grabbing some lunch at Applebees's, picking up my suitcase at my Mom's house and opening some wedding presents, we started out on a leisurely drive up the coast. We stopped in Rockland to check out the view of the harbor. It was a beautiful day and the boats looked beautiful.
After we left, the sky seemed hazy and I wondered if we would be able to see anything from the Penobscot Narrows Bridge in Bucksport. I wanted to see if because my company supplied the scaffolding when it was being build and I had seen pictures of it and heard that you could see for miles from the observatory. As we neared the bridge, the sun was burning off the fog and we were able to see quite far.
This is a model of a cross-section of the bridge during construction.
A bunch of cables inside this section.
I loved the wildflowers!
It was time to get back on the road and find our little Bed and Breakfast.
