Our Wedding Night in Old Orchard Beach

After we left the reception at Keeley's, we drove to Old Orchard Beach and got there just in time for the fireworks.  We actually got stuck in traffic and were in our car, but had a perfect view of the the fireworks.  After they were over, we found a parking space and met up with the kids.  We walked around OOB still dressed in our wedding clothes.  We got lots of comments and well wishes from people we didn't even know.

We went on the Sun Wheel and a little Chinese girl that put us on the ride, told us to "Be happy now!" - in her thick Chinese accent - it was so cute!

Then we went on the Merry-Go-Round and it felt like we were in the Mary Poppins movie, where the carousel horse go off the merry-go-round and gallup away!

We had a lot of fun, but then the kids insisted that we go check into our motel room and start our wedding night without them.  So we checked into the Exit 5 Motel in Saco - we had a little cottage to ourselves with a hottub!

Notice the sneakers!  The next day I was planning on picking up my suitcase at my Mom's house on the way to Bar Harbor because I just didn't have time to pack beforehand - can you believe it?!  Then I realized that Lyzz had my street clothes in her car and the only thing I had to wear was my wedding dress and those boots that killed my feet.  Luckily for me, Bob found my sneakers in the trunk in my gym bag.  So I went to Dunkin Donuts on the way in my Wedding dress and sneakers - I felt like the runaway bride!

Packing the car, on our way to Bar Harbor!
